How has your organisation responded to uncontrollable changes in the market and environment over the last year?   Has the necessity to work differently made you rethink employee engagement and the approach to work, in your organisation?  

The Equality Academy series focuses on learning through networking.  The events are cross-sectoral and are staged across the nation to facilitate communication between practitioners in their local regions.  The aim is to provide an informal, confidential forum in which delegates may share experiences, ideas and support. 

This session will explore agile working practices and how organisations can benefit from adopting a flexible approach to how and where their people work.

The last year has presented significant challenges to employers. An economy in recession, a global pandemic and a snowed-in New Year have impacted on resources and day to day head count. Smart organisations are weathering these storms by taking an innovative and flexible approach to maintaining productivity.

There are greater benefits than keeping the show on the road in the short-term, however. Mainstreaming more flexible ways of working into the core organisational culture will ultimately benefit women, as these methods become the status quo. In addition, agile workers are happy workers, and those organisations who build agility into the fabric of their work practices will be better equipped to meet the challenges of the future.
