Opportunity Now Awards 2010, the most pretigious awards for advancing women in the workplace in the UK.
For 15 years the awards have celebrated outstanding practice in equality and diversity work with a particular impact on women.
This year there are 9 awards for which an entry can be submitted, two other awards the Female FTSE 100 Award and the FTSE Executive Women Award are not open for entry, but follow on from the publication of the FTSE female index produced by Cranfield University.
If you want to demonstrate your organisation's best practice, innovation and dedication to creating inclusive workplaces the Opportunity Now Awards , generously sponsored by Santander are a must.
All members of Opportunity Now are eligible to enter ,thereby gaining third party endorsement for all the hard work and achievements and demonstrating their credentials as an exemplar employer of choice.
The Awards process culminates in the Awards Dinner , to be held on the 28 April 2010 at the Brewery, Central London.

Advancing Women in the Workplace Award - This award is for particular initiative/intervention which aids recruitment, retention and/or development fo women.
The Agile Organisation Award - This award recognises programmes/ initiatives that demonstrate an agile/ flexible approach to job design and work enviroment.
The Champion Award - This award is for a senior level gender /diversity ambassador or champion within Opportunity Now member organisations. The award will be given to a senior individual who has made a significant contribution to advancing,promoting and embedding a diversity culture within a workplace.
CIPD - Directing Diverse Talent Award- This award is a collaboration between Opportunity Now and the CIPD to recognise an exceptional individual who has demonstrated a real commitment to inclusive management or talent.
The Global Award - This award is specifically for a gender equality, diversity and inclusion programme/work for initiative which extends across at least three countries.
The Inclusive Culture Award- This award recognises a programme/ initiative which is driving change at an organisational or cultural level.
The Innovation Award - This award is for a work/ programme that is particularly innovative or unprecedented. It is designed to recognise organisations that have started to tackle issues in a cutting edge or different way.
The Santander Award: Inspiring the Workforce of the Future - This award is for organisations that have demonstrated a commitment to supporting young women in broadening their career aspirations.

Important points to note:
- Entrants must be current Opportunity Now members.
- Categories are not sector specific they are open to all types of organisations.
- Each award entry must focus on a work/ programme aimed at addressing equality/ diversity or inclusion with a particular focus on women.
- Submissions are limited to a maximum of two entries per organisation, however these must be into different categories.
- Winners of the 2009 awards are eligible to enter, providing a significantly programme/initiative is used.
- Pilot schemes may be entered, but should have a solid measured analysis.
- Members of the ON board are not eligible to enter for the champion award.
- The 2010 awards are now closed for entry.
